By Poiter Sy...do you mean The Pointer Sisters???? :o
Does anyone knows if an extended version of this song was ever released, I remember using two 7” copies at the time and later came across the 12” but it is only 3:31 long.

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Yes , the Pointer Sisters, I miss spelled ‘sister’ and the ‘subject’ cuts off part of the text.
That is my favorite Pointer Sisters track!
I believe theversion on the 12'' was four minutes and change. This can be found on one of their compilation CD's and there are several of them.
Good Luck!

What year / album is this particular Pointers cut from ?
This cut is from the Lp “Special Things” which contains “He’s so shy” too, (I can’t find my copy) after searching I didn’t find this LP on Cd although the song is available in several ‘Best of”, the used album is readily available at GEMM but they don’t list the track length, my 12” is “for radio stations only” with a Mono version on the flip but it is only 3:31, since I’ve been able to track down on the Net so many long versions of songs I didn’t know existed I was hoping maybe some one knows of a special mix for this song that was a huge local hit for me at the time.
Thanks ! It is indeed on a couple of Pointer Sisters compilations though not on my favourite collection 'Greatest Hits' which has most of their hits in extended form. As far as i'm aware the 'Special Things' album has never been reissued on cd. I recall a 1980 Record Mirror review by James Hamilton which singled out one track for special mention, i'll have to dig it out to check if this was 'Could I Be Dreaming'.
Only recently found out that the Pointers released an all out rock album, 'Priority', at the end of 1979, encouraged no doubt by the success of 'Fire'. Unsurprisingly, it flopped.
