How often is the Disco Records A-Z updated?

Here's a question to Bernie. Just wondering out of curiosity, how often is the Disco Records A-Z updated at average?

I've added a couple of records 2 days back which are:

7" Eruption - Let Me Take You Back In Time/Funky Lover 1975
7" The Studs - Funky Feet/Disco Death 1977 (Australian group)

Looking forward to seeing them added. And URL for the pictures are from my 10mb webspace on 1earth where I use to have my Countdown website. Scans from my personal record collection :D .

I must apologize as it seems several submissions from you and others this past weekend did not go through. eFunk sent me an e-mail letting me know his subs didn't go through. Anything from before Friday is fine and is now in the Vault as I went through all new subs and put them live. It's just from Saturday on that a problem has surfaced.

Did you guys notice anything odd or did you receive an error after submitting? Still working on bugs here and there so let me know if you notice any strangeness.

Could you and anyone else who submitted records Saturday and Sunday please try again? Thanks and sorry about the problems.

Ahh yes I have noticed errors when posting and even going to areas on the site which was a small text error message at the top left of the screen which I think had "BB" in it or something like that. Put it this way, the error messages were really giving me the shits, I was swearing and cursing hehehehe :lol: .

Anyhow I'll re-submit the records again and see what happens.

yes - I was briefly discussing his with efunk just yesterday and it seems we're having the same problem.
After hitting the submit button, I was taken to the "advanced search" page for some odd reason. I did recieve no confirmation for my added entry so i reckon it got lost in the proces.
It did work just fine on friday - I'll try again later and hope for the best this time around. :)

Hi guys,

Sorry about that. Don't know what it is, but I'm working behind the scenes to see what it is. If you get errors or strangeness of any kind please be as descriptive of the error message as possible so I can track it down. I put through 3 test submission and they came out just fine so try again and let me know what happens. Thanks.

Wow. I saw that top 500 list and assumed it was the second top 500 we did. I saw all those Donna songs in the top spot so I just ignored it. So this one is the latest and greatest? That sucks! I have to believe the vote was corrupted by that Donna fanatics again. I think the original vote is probably more reflective of the members here.

Huh :-? What are you referring to? There is no new Top 500 list. Just the same two lists as always. The original from 2000 and the one from late last year that is labeled as 2003 that was messed up by the Donna Summer voters. The voting deadline for the next edition passed back in August and that won't be compiled until New Years or later. I hope that clears up any confusion.

Crikey! I thought it WAS the 2003 top 500 as I actually thought the songs were at different positions on the charts. It looked familiar with the Donna Summer hits taking the first 4 positions. Anyhow looking forward to when the 2003 top 500 comes about.

Believe it or not.... it happened again... when you hit the preview button to look for any typos.. it goes to that advanced search screen. That is the screen I am talking about.. I just submitted some Cerrone info for Love In C Minor... I wonder if it's lost?

Well there we go... You never mentioned that you were going to the preview screen. I along with another visitor was able to submit entries with no problems, but we didn't choose the preview option.

Please try submitting again without clicking on preview until I can look into it further.

Okay, I just went and made a test submission and used the preview option and everything was fine and the sub went through without a hitch.

I would recommend for starters that you clear your browser's cache and delete any cookies from discomusic.com and try again. Let me know your results. Sorry for the hassles with the new system, but I am hard at work trying to correct it. Thanks for putting up with this.

I tried deleting cookies & tried re entering Cerrone information & it worked. I sent a Picture of the record on Oct. 6, hopefully you saved the info. :)
