Help Me Identify This Song !!

Hi

Heard a song on a disco mixed tape and was wondering if any one could help me out with it. The song is the third on the tape and comes in around 9mins into it. The song has a female group sound and the sing the lines lets get it off?

The Song is called "Can't Play Around" by Kathy Brown

Apparentley it's a classic House (Freestyle) track, released in October 1993 and still available on a Cutting Traxxx CD from Amazon. I just knew it had to be later that the '80s, unlike the track that followed it for instance, Unlimited Touch - I Hear Music In The Street.
So was this mix made in 1986 as the link may suggest?

First, thanks for your reply but "Can`t Play Around" isn`t
from Katy Brown. Maybe she did a cover version in the 90`s
but the track on the mix tape is by Lace from 1982.

This all caused a misunderstanding:

Track "Can´t Play Around" is the second track on the mix tape but I would like to identify the track after.

The track after is track no.3

Hi Kay,

Yeah, I knew you wanted the track after Lace which is why I was disappointed. "Can't Play Around" is too hot not to know

. Hope someone knows the song after --- sounds good to me.

The track was queried on another forum - apparently it's 'You Can Get Off On The Music' by Le Pamplemousse.

Forrrce: Knew you'd straighten us old codgers out on this. I must admit to feeling stupid after my earlier comments and perplexed at the same time, knowing just how many Rinder & Lewis fans there are on this site normally.
I take my hat off to them (R&L). This track does sound so incredibly ahead of its time to my ears, especially the sparse, jazzy fender chords that pop up.

Perhaps I'll have to buy me a few Le Pamplemousse CDs to see if this was just an accident?

I pulled out my LP today, it's 'Planet Of Love - You Can Get Off On The Music' from '79.
I can't take the credit for the detective work on this one, Quinny, though I'd have thought the 'board's Rinlewphiles (Leatherman, Graham Start, Giovanni???) would have chipped in with this one earlier.
