    From the old Ipanema Days

I heard this on another website (deephouse.com) but it was mixed in with other tunes. Anyway I remembered it from the Ipanema Disco days (mid-late 70's). The vocals were female with background of synthesisers, organ & drums. Problem is I can't make out the word she's says (recurrently ?). The rest of it goes something like this:

". . . you can do what you wanna do, hit me if you feel it to, I'll do wanna you wanna do . . . oh ? "

There are breaks of the old ooi, ooi, ooi (like the sound a seagull makes - like on Foxy's "Get Off")

Anybody out remembers, pls let me know. Thanx 1&all!!!

I realize this is probably NOT it, but your lyrics lead me one song and one song only....

"Do What You Wanna Do" - by T-Connection.

"do what you wanna, be the judge and the jury too"

    It's a male vocal, however....and I'd guess you know this tune...but I thought I'd try.
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."

Marky, thanks for reply but unfortunately T-Conn. wasn't it. When time permits, I'll try to get to find it again on Deephouse.com. I know I have a recording of it (somewhere on tape) but I'm trying to find out the artist. I keep thinking it could be Tomeka Jones only because the vocals sounds like her "can't live w/o your love."

Nona Hendrix also covered T connections' "do what you wanna do" in '82 but the lyrics are not as you describe.
