    2 (with a calypso beat) for I.D.ing

A few songs from my youth that have come to mind. These two songs have a calypso-style to them. Circa.1979-80.
On one of them I can recall was like a ballad... slow moving with the chorus singing "Laissez Faire". The second had a calypso-latin mix to it. Spanish/english phrases like, "Que pasa, que pasa? Que pasa contigo? No me digas que tu no me quiere mas!" and, "What's happening with you? What's on your mind?" Male lead vocal, with females singing chorus. I don't know if they're from the same group. If they are, just a coincidence. the songs had the sort of catchy beat that would make anyone try to wiggle under the limbo bar.
    Thanks!

Thanks alot DISCODISK and, With your response I did some hunting for cd's from Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. I was glancing at someones review about the item when I read the following, " There's also a greatest hits album and a great lost album by August Darnell ( from Dr. Buzzard's) called "Gichy Dan's Beechwood #9". It has the same flavor (Swing Jazz, Disco, Latin, R&B), but is notable as a transitional step to his assumption of the ?Kid Creole?(and the coconuts) persona. It features the wonderful club semi-hit "Laissez Faire". If you see this album in a bin on vinyl, you'd better get it then and there! That's the only way TO get it, unfortunately!" end of quote.
So through your insight I was able to find the answer to the first song, two birds - one stone. Thanx a plenty!:D
