Green Olives -- Jive Into The Night
(with thanks to our very own NickNack for introducing me to this wonderful song)
I also love"forever" by susanne meals.
Ialso love "run to me" by tracy spencer and "shooting star" by roy.
TO BE HONEST I LOVE ALL ITALO AND HI-NRG.
JOHN
Well I was not very much into Italo in the eighties, but nowadays I find it very uplifting music. I liked Easy Lady by Spagna when it came out, but couldn't stand the Call Me song. Also Gazebo's Lunatic and I like Chopin are good.
The number one spot at my list would go to Self Controll by Raff. I think it is very well produced track and in its 12 inch form especially good.
"Love is gonna be on your side" by Firefly (1981)
and of course "Ma quale idea" (Pino D'Angio 1981)
but maybe this is not what you guys think about when you say Italo... this was discussed somewhere, I think
I'm not sure that it's considered italo disco neither, but "Valerie Dore - Get closer" is a wonderful song
I\'m a Victim ( of th very Song I sing )
I have lots of favorite italo songs, but my top favs are:
Ryan Paris - Dolce Vita
Fun Fun - Give Me Your Love
Raff - Self Control
P. Lion - Happy Children
Voyage :P
I really like Dharma's "Plastic Doll". I consider this to be one of the luckiest record-bin finds that I've had in my small little town! :)
I also love Gay Cat Park's "I'm A Vocoder" and Charly's "Spacerwoman".
It would be hard for me to pick a fave but those are definitely near the top of the list...
Hello !
How about:
Kasso: Kasso
One More Round
The Walkman
Boeing: Dance To The Beat
Kano: Dance School
Can't Hold Back
It's a War
Jimmy Ross: First True Love Affair
Vivian Vee: Higher
Bustin\' lights all around me ..
Mine is:
Mr. Zivago "Little Russian"
Ehmmm my fave italo tracks:
Kano - Another life
?? - If you wanna get funky go to america
N.O.I.A - Looking for love
Klein MBO - Dirty talk
Pink project were also "interesting"
Kaliffen
Koto - Visitors
AROUND MY DREAM by Silver Pozzoli. Girls with frizzy hairdos teeter around dancing in high heels, turquoise miniskirts and oversized t-shirts with enormous shoulderpads. The guys wear no socks, very Miami Vice. I was trying to be very Miami Vice and ended up looking like a nightmare. I still got in to the VIP Michael Todd room at The Palladium of New York, though, dressed like that. They played Around My Dream there, too.
HEY SURVIVOR by Belen Thomas is great also and I love I'm Gonna Get your Love by Jade, but I'm not sure if that one is Italian.
This is most definite a Italo classic. At least it was known as one, over here in Europe :POriginally Written by Com King
My favorite is Fun Fun's Happy Station.
It was huge over here.
The group consisted of two "model"singers. Two girls who actually didn't sing the songs themselves and got away with it (unlike Milli Vanilli).
However more important is that the brain after this outfit was actually Ivana Spagna..who later on scored massive hits with Easy lady and Call me, and is nowadays still quite succesfully recording in Italian. 8)
There's one I remember from about 1988 and have never heard since: "Dandy" by Dandy. Anyone else know this one?
Give Me A Break - Vivian Vee
Give Me Your Love - Fun Fun
Midnight Dancer - Atrium
Jive Into The Night - Green Olives

Above ALL...."MASTERPIECE" by Gazebo!!! ( elegant druggy melodrama on the dance floor--"driving down from Beverly Hills, I feel the wind in my hair"....)
Then:
"Dolce Vita" - Ryan Paris (LOVED THIS, too Voyage)
"Give Me A Break/Remember" - Vivian Vee (never mind the strange vocals, this double-sided hit was dance floor heaven!!!)
"Fear" - Easy Going (scary and sexy!!!)
and something by a girl named Klaudia--I think that was Italian. :o We had soooooooomany of those Il Disc Records at Aloha in the early '80s.![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Albano, is Dolce Vita by Sparks the same one as Ryan Paris's (I think it's a different song  )? Or the same as Kristian Conde? Or Alberto D' Arco?
Marky "Masterpiece" and " I Like Chopin" are Gazebo's best songs. I love both and recommend both the instrumental and vocal versions.
Last year (2003) there was a remix of Dolce Vita released in the summer. I remember dancing to it on a disco in Florence or Rome. :P
Io amo la dolce vita
Voyage :P

Albano
(check IN your YM!)
1. Forever - SUZANNE MEALS, Lombardoni Publ. ©1990 - in spite of its late release (in the 90's), this is one of the most profound Italo disco songs, with melancholy beats and supremely good melody
2. Driving - SENSITIVE, GONG ©1984 - the magnificent synths take you to heaven.
3. Daydream - L.A. MESSINA, Discomagic ©1983 - the song title says it all : happy, upbeat melody and actually suprisingly nice lyrics from Lugi Fedele who barely speaks English
4. Mr. Crusoe - MONO BAND, F1 Team ©1984 - best work from Renato D'Herin - witty lyrics and great beats
5. I'm Gonna Dance - RYVON DJ, Poker ©1984 - Italian men's "blues", sad and melancholy song, great typical Italo synths and arangements...
:D I'm here like a meteor.
Italo Disco isn't my business.
Easy Lady by Spagna ('86).
I visited her site 8) :-? .
