Frisky "You've Got Me Dancing In My Sleep"

Perhaps one of my FAVE disco cuts but so unloved...or else, just overlooked. What's the story behind this group and was this 12" their only "hit" or release? I'd love to know who produced this classic cut. It's so quintessentially disco if you ask me...

This is IMO the BEST disco song ever, but as you said it seems to be completly ignored.
It was produced by Moses Billard and Jesse Boyce, best known for Saturday Night Band's Come on dance, dance.
Frisky only released one album, heres the track listing:

    1. You've got me dancing in my sleep 6:59
    2. Burn me up with your love 7:58
    3. Tutty frutty booty is good when it's hot 8:54
    4. Love at first sight 6:07

None of the other songs sound anything like "you've got me dancin...". "Burn me up" is the A side to the 12" single, I don't think it any where near as good as "you've got me.."

Great to know someone else apreciates this "Lost classic"

Would you therefore say that the LP is not worth getting?

I've got "You've got me dancing in my sleep" on the UK compilation Jumpin' 2 (IMO the best Disco compilation put together by Joey Negro AKA Dave Lee to date).

I love much of Boyce/Dillard's work (e.g. Saturday Night Band / Constellation Orchestra / Lorraine Johnson / Bill Brandon), so I have been looking out for the Frisky LP, hoping that the other three tracks will be more of the same. I take it they're not?

The album is good and worth getting if you like Dillard/Boyce productions, I just meant the other songs are good but don't have the same energy as "You've got me dancing in my sleep".
This album is a bit hard to find, I found my copy at gemm.
Good luck trying to find it.
