to answer your question vodkatonique. Yes the french artist Karen Cheryl had one big disco hit in 1978. The track was titled "Sing to me mama" If I were to describe it I would say it's a boney m style song with plenty of wind and percussion and an upbeat melody. But the track doesn't really go anywhere it's a very 2 dimensional disco song it lacks creativity. Although the start is great very grandiose.
