sounds like a CD I would make for my car... :)
Well I'm finally getting around to list my LP's in a database. Some 700+ of them.I've already finished my 12" database of 1700.The good part of this is it gives me a chance to listen to some great tunes and also discover some new ones which I missed out on initially as I'm sure many have.Back in the peak days of disco I acquired many albums but never got the chance to really review them thoroughly as we were trying to keep up with the onslaught of 12" single formats.
Anyways here is what I enjoyed recently.
First Choice Theme/Ain't He Bad-First Choice(1976)
Love Shadows/Standing In The Shadow of Love-Deborah Washington(1978)
You Don't Have Dancin' On Your Mind-Inner Life (1979)
Changes-Vernon Burch(1975)
Carol's Theme I/Midnight Love Affair/Carol's ThemeII/In The Morning/Lie To Me-Carol Douglas (1976)
Got The Feeling-Two Tons Of Fun(1980)
San Francisco Hustle-Silver Convention(1976)
It May Be Winter(But In My Heart It's Spring)-Love Unlimited(1973)
Harmony-Suzi Lane(1979)
Supernatural Feeling-The Blackbyrds(1977)
Love Has No Time Or Place-MFSB (1975)
Streakin Cheek To Cheek-Ohio Players (1974)
People Get Yourself Together & Drive That funky Soul-James Brown(1973)
Chains-Gregg Diamond Bionic Boogie(1978)

I also really like 'You Dont Have Dancing on Your Mind' by Inner Life from '79. I also like 'I Want to Give You Me' from the same LP; strange title but brilliant track!
...ya gotta beat the street......
Love Has No Time or Place - MFSB. A fave for me and my honey. I would use this early on in The Anvil (meaning before 01:00 AM  ) to get in the mood.
It's funny as you play these tunes you can visualize a time and place when you were playing these.By the way as I said I'm having a great time rediscovering past tunes. The"You Don't Have Dancing On your Mind" track I had never paid much attention to till just now and I love it.Was it ever released as a 12".If not what a shame.
Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings. But there are times for you and me when all such things agree...Rush
