This may very well be the "purest" mix I've done, with mostly original versions, even when a remix was available. For example, "Don't Leave Me This Way was unpdated in the late '90's, but with re-recorded vocals. It was still Thelma Houston, of course, but the original simply blew this out of the water, so I used the BEST mix available (the original). I used "Star Wars" almost in it's entirety, maybe shaved 2:00 off of the 15+ total. Scoff and diss as you may, I consider Meco's "Star Wars" to be perhaps the greatest composition of the disco era and of all time. You simply must listen to it in a quiet room with some headphones and be blow away by the complexity- and astonishing beauty of this piece. Star Wars fan or not, the Meco version of the theme is incredible! I also like to mention songs on the "just missed list," like the Rough-n-Ready Remix of Ram Jam's "Black Betty" and Santa Esmeralda's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."
