I recently picked up a copy of the Celi Bee LP that has that great 14 or so-minute medley on Side 1 that includes "Fly Me on the Wings of Love" and "Midnight Passion." I LOVE these types of records--lushly orchestrated with strings and horns, romantic lyrics and all tied together with an intro and an epilogue.
So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any similar sounding records? I have the "Romeo and Juliet" opus and, of course, the most shining example ever of a medley, "MacArthur Park Suite."
Medleys by Grace Jones (with Mr. Moulton) come to mind at the moment, as well as First Choice and Fever.
I'd appreciate other recommendations. Thanks!

Madleen Kane's "Cheri" sounds right for this. Side 1 is "A Jim Burgess Mix" of FORBIDDEN LOVE/FIRE IN YOUR HEART/CHERI/SECRET LOVE AFFAIR.
I believe there is a CD available out there that maintains this format.
