Two of the best examples which spring to mind are the 'original' disco-dub track, 'For The Love Of Money' by Disco Dub Band from '76, or Willie Daniels' 'I've Been Searching' which was an epic Walter Gibbons workout from the '80s.
Forrrce's 'Keep On Dubbin' (With No Commercial Interruptions)' on West End is the ultimate, fierce disco-dub mash-up, bar none.![]()
The Will Powers is a bit unusual in that it's cod-reggae, therefore it may sound a little more authentic as a dub mix, but there are hundreds of such workouts on disco influenced 12"s. I would suggest looking out for mixers along the lines of Francois Kevorkian, Shep Pettibone, Walter Gibbons, Steven Stanley, the Lord Alge brothers and more when I think of them....
