In this mix: cheesy, underground, rare, nasty, uptempo and psychadelic disco, all blended in a fast 75 minute session.

Hey beauritz,
NICE MIX! my kinda music, disco-electro-Italo
Do you have a tracklist for that?
ps:
k zie dat je Tinez kent,
draai je soms in Antwerpen?
Hi Nonkel,
Thanks for the compliment!
At the moment I am resident DJ in Club de Rechter (http://www.derechter.com) in Eindhoven (Netherlands), but I am trying hard to get more gigs abroad. Belgium would be a small step, wouldn't it?
If you have suggestions/connections.....
Tinez (http://www.tinez.be/) and I exchanged some mixes in the past, but he's more on the electro side.
Except a new mix in a few weeks. I'll post a msg here.
Cheers.

Good choice of songs, beauritz; I enjoyed it.
What's the track after George Duke's "I Want You For Myself"? It's the only one I wasn't familiar with, but it sounds great. Something like "Star" or Come On Star"?
That song is "C'mon stop" by "Black Gold", released on Prelude in 1983. Pretty hard to find I can tell ya!
Excellent, thanks - what a fantastic track it is (or at least from the two minute clip in your mix)Originally Written by beauritz
Looks like I've got some searching on Soulseek to do...hope it ain't that rare!
Having now, thanks to the wonders of Soulseek, heard more of "C'mon Stop" than is in the mix, was it sampled in one of the well known early house tracks (around the same time as Adonis's "No Way Back")? Don't remember which house track it was, but it seems very familiar.
Mmm...It don't recognize any samples used in house classics. Or it must be before '90, the year I started listening to underground house music.
Does anybody else have suggestions?
Don't know if there are several versions of "C'Mon Stop", but the version I've got hold of is 6:17, and the bit I'm talking about starts at 2:43.Originally Written by beauritz
It would have been well before 1990, probably around 86/87. Very well known house track whose title escapes my mind at the moment. Maybe I'm way off beam though.
Hi Beauritz,
I've been trowing some parties with a friend here in Antwerp, but that's on a very small scale (150 -300). We play lots of styles of music: disco, electro, hiphop, house, latin, ragga, breakbeats, .... It's always fun, but its al still on a friends-party basis.
Also I'm also starting a monthly night in a small pub here.
So maybe when things go well that we'd might invite other people, but for now thats still far away. Maybe in time.
Greetz,
Oh and i can't wait to hear ya next set. 8)
