Interestingly enough, Mr Big Stuff is the only track where I like a rap cover version of the record as much as the original !!..
Jean Knight's version is a classic, of course! But I thought Heavy D and the Boyz's 1984 rap version was pretty decent as well - the rapping and the chorus were not at all bad, but they were backed up by this really hard funk uncompromising rhythm section that just made the record work for me!
