"Johnny & Mary" by Leigh Jaeger on A&M Records. Melissa Manchester also had a version on one of her albums.
Hey Guys..great site ain't it!!!
I am trying to remember the artist that did a song back in the 90's that was called, I believe, "Johnny and Mary". The only lyrics that I can remember go something like this: "...johnny's always running around..." and that's all I can remember. It would definitely be classified as HiNRG.
Anyone who can help, thanx!!

"Johnny & Mary" was originally done by Robert Palmer on his 1980 LP "Clues". This got clubplay as well as another track on that LP, "Looking For Clues".
Both are big faves of mine. :D
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Very cool...thanx for the assistance. The version of "Johnny and Mary" that I am looking for is done by a woman. I'll see where I might find it now....thanx again!

Uh, I believe that BOTH Leigh Jaeger & Melissa Manchester are FEMALE SINGERS!!!!![]()
Robert Palmer wrote the song & recorded it first....
BUT that Leigh Jaeger version (although I've never heard it) is probably what you want.![]()

Yes, I know they are both women! That's what I meant-that I would pursue their versions.
Though, I am quite sure that it is not Melissa's version that I am looking for.
I heard Palmer's and another guy group's version today. That's funny that I would never have heard Palmer's before. The alleged Jaeger version is really very good and was pretty popular in clubs back in the early to mid 90's.
The search is on!
WELCOME TO THE BOARD!
If you're looking for the vinyl, it might help to know this is an import, not an A&M U.S. release. Song was licensed by A&M Records Ltd. for Vogue 12 in the UK. 12" released in 1989 with a vocal and instrumental side.
Thanx for the welcome! You guys have a great site here!
I appreciate the info. I figured it wouldn't be a US release-why on Earth would good music be released in America! :)
Of course I am hoping to find it on CD, but I can use vinyl as well. I think I know of a few places to look.
Catch you later!
By the way there was a cover released on Almighty in 1998 by Nicole Jackson.
