When you post something like this, could you be kind enough to post a link so that others can enjoy it.
How do I get to Usenet groups? I copied and pasted the address in my browser and nothing came up. Do you have to pay to belong to these groups?
Anyone that is familiar with usenet groups, there is a new disco group and they are posting really good classics. The group is: alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.disco

You can't link to a Usenet group as they can't be viewed with a web browser. Usenet is an internet service sort of like e-mail mailing lists, but it's off on its own. The main reason for them to exist now is that folks can upload and download binaries (i.e. pictures, MP3s, whatever) through them, however they are usually broken up into several chunks and must be reassembled before you can use them. Your ISP has to support newsgroups for you to access them. Outlook Express can work as a news reader, although other programs are better at this.
Sorry I just posted that message for people that are familiar with usenet groups because it is a little involved to explain it all here. To start off with usenet groups you first have to find out of your ISP has a news server then you need its address. You also need its mail server address. When you have this info, go to this site:

Dowload Free Agent it is a nice news reader. You have to subscribe to the newsgroups that you want (free of charge) in order to start downloading files. Most of the files posted in the Disco newsgroup are not broken up, but there are instances where people do break them up and its simple to join them.
