This is not really a collector's item, but an excellent track, produced (and written I believe) by Luther Vandross.

I recently picked up (cheap, thank gawd) the extended version of "I Knew You Were Waiting for Me" by Aretha and George Michael. Talk about pointless remixing! The instrumentation is mostly stripped away and sometimes the beat disappears too--deadly on a dance floor. But maybe the loooooong, boring percussion break was supposed to make up for that. Ugh. If you like this song, stick with the album version.
