    "new york lady"burt bacharch

I never heard this song and was wondering if it had that "Thump" disco beat?Or is it more traditional like "Mondo Disco" by El Coco?Bernie's A-Z really helped though.I couldn't find a sound sample on tower records.com or cdnow.

The word evokes not just a type of music or a kind of dance or even a style of dress.It\'s also a new social order of black and white, gay and straight, rich and poor, all hot, sweaty and, most likely, high, together.

    Phil,

this is a wonderful lowtempo jam. Not the classic thump thump disco beat, it is around 100-105 bpm but with a more jazzy & brassy melodic bacharach sweet sound.
I found a copy a few days ago and grabbed it immediately
