Matthew Broderick playing Nicole's husband? I, too, would have preferred Cusack. Walken on the other hand should fit right in with his very strange self and this weird movie.
I just read that Nicole and Bette have signed on to do a remake of the 1975 film "The Stepford Wives". Quite an interesting comibination I would say.
John Cusack was originally supposed to play Nicole's husband but backed out and has been replaced by Matthew Broderick. I personally prefer Cusack.
Glenn Close and Christopher Walken also have parts in the film.

Yep, it's true. Strangely, Bette Midler was called in to replace Joan Cusack. This is supposedly the Paula Prentiss role from the original film.
I hadn't hear that John Cusack was in the cast.
The screenplay is by Paul Rudnick, so I'm guessing this is a spoof/satire of the original 1975 chiller.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Yes, the remake is suppose to be on the comedic side, which explains Bette!
I read that Joan and John left the cast due to a death in their family.
Yep. it's true that their father died a few months ago.

In fact, guys, you are missing a valuable piece of information. In the movie, the Broderick character is not married to Nicole. It's Bette Midler who plays his wife... and then transforms herself slowly into Nicole (remember the Ira Levin novel?) That's what I call star power! :D
This said, it could be also that John Cusack transforms himself into Matthew Broderick... not much of a difference, though :)
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
Nano, that is incorrect information.
I just rechecked the site and it said Matthew Broderick is playing Mr. Eberhardt and Nicole is playing Mrs. Eberhardt.
Bette Midler is playing Bobbie Markowitz.
