Help me finding the title ...

..of a song that i heard in summer 88. It seems like Cheryl Lynn voice and the lyrics are:

Sweet and tnder love that only you bring ... to my world
and you can be sure that when you're not with me .. i deram of you
Cause baby you've got the best love and there's nothing better, and ........you hold the key.
Babe you've got the best love, there's nobody better ...etc.

    Thanks

You just took me back to 1982. I was in Amsterdam and saw Rose Royce live in Carre, not exactly a pop or dance temple. More a place for serious plays and musicals.

But BY GOD what a performance. Especially this song you just mentioned. It was already a favorite of mine from the album and I was quietly hoping they would play it. It came right at the end...

    ... and it was SO G O O D!!!!

They extended that piano segment to the max and I think I died and went to heaven. The combination of Lequent "Duke" Jobe on bass and Michael Nash on keys... you just felt that bass in the pit of your stomach (buh... buh buhbuh... buh... buh buhbuh...)... and then that piano. AWESOME. They were STEAMIN'. Even the director of the venue, a major celebrity at the time, came out and could be seen dancing right at the front of the stage.

To this day, this shall be one of my most treasured concert memories ever.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest :P

Hey... should we start a topic on disco/dance concerts... then or now... could be fun?
