Forum too wide for your screen???

I've been told that some of the members find that the forum layout is too wide and requires horizontal scrolling.

One's monitor resolution should be set to 1024 x 768 or higher. Anything less such as 800 x 600 will require horizontal scrolling. Simply switch your resolution to a higher setting in your control panel and all will be well.

Out of no where I'm having trouble with this now. And my screeen resolution has always been 1024 x 768. Anybody else or is just me?

If computers had been around when the Supremes first sang, "Nothing But Heartaches", it would have been a perfect fit. :x

Nothing has changed with the forum Nicky. I know that with some posts with long URLs it can expand, but other than that all is good. I know you spent a lot of time recently reinstalling everything on your computer so I hope all is good there. Nonetheless I'll check on this end just in case.

I started having the same problem within the past few days as a matter of fact, and my screen resolution is the same as Nicky's 1024X768.

Looks great now and I no longer have to scroll to the sides. Thanks Bernie!

Not good for me, Bernie. Every page in the Forum section is too wide. Even this page I'm typing on is too wide. I'll check again later. I had to restore my pc a few days back. Maybe I changed something. :-?

Sometimes it helps to reconfigure in 1024 x 768 and then do an auto-reset of your screen. The strange thing is that I sometimes too have this problem but usually only in 1 topic. When I look at the topic again the next day the problem generally is solved.

Nicky, just thinking, maybe you have to adjust the default settings of your browser, like text-size. Maybe???

    Strange, n'est-ce pas? :D

(BTW Bernie, today I'm having trouble with this one, maybe it can help you)

It's too wide for me, too. I didn't change anything and the resolution is still what it always was.

Am having this problem now, but not only in this forum...

It started a few days back, I'm working @ 1024/768 on IE, for instance I notice in this forum the banner's font size on the left side are huge, the same when visiting the vault, but the fonts are also much larger when visiting my Hotmail account,
I suspect that while tinkering with my "personal setting" on a different forum the sofware changed something on my IE settings, and after checking many of my settings I can't figure out how to undo the changes, Any ideas? any one?

well, I fixed the font size problem, I was looking in all the wrong places when the fix was under my nose under IE 'view' menu, but still need to scroll left/right to read any postings in this forum only.
