    VH1 Top 200 Icon List

I saw some of the shows (20 hours, folks!!!!)....BUT can anyone tell me where Miss Diana Ross placed on the Top 200????

Also, was Bette Midler on the list? (Keefe says no...but they used a caricature of her in the show...so I'm confused.)

God bless the child...yada, yada, yada...

Did a search...Miss Ross was #165!!!! (between Betty Ford & Burt Reynolds) :x

    No Bette Midler sightings!!!!

Miss Ross will be pissed that Cher placed at #41 and Barbra at #66. :P

    Hell, Madonna is #7 (deservedly so, I think)...BUT J-LOW is #15!!!!

    Yeah, HB...

It's a damn idiotic list, ain't it????

Gilligan is #122--ahead of Sigmund Freud???!!!!

Penny Marshall (Laverne) & Henry Winkler (The Fonz) ahead of Albert Einstein????!!!!

I mean I understand it's "POP CULTURE"--but why throw heavyweights like Einstein & Freud into the mix--if you're gonna have sitcom characters listed as more important???!!!! DUH.

How the heck did Molly Ringwald make the list?

She hasn't had a major movie in 15 years and besides I think "The Breakfast Club" is waaaaaaay overrated.

    What? What?

OPRAH is the greatest pop icon ever? What are they talking about, weight?

First question: WHO IS OPRAH? Why I'm asking this? Simply because I know who she is, but I'm sure that she's unknown to the world out there. She is huge in USA, but in other countries that never saw her TV show she's almost nobody. These guys of VH-1 are just a bunch of stupid emptyheads. They know nothing about the impact of pop culture in the whole world. What a waste of time

This list is just rubbish, babies. Keep your money on the pocket.

I think you mean "South Park". And while your question wasn't directed towards me, Cartman is one of the characters on that show. But I think the rest of the gang (Kyle, Stan, and Kenny) should have also been included as they're just as important to "South Park" as Cartman.

As for the rest of the life, Ozzy is obviously listed as part of the Osbournes, so that in a way answered my question. I was also going to ask where Paul McCartney placed on the list, but he would included with the Beatles. But I'm surprised that Led Zeppelin is so far down the list, and that Marilyn Manson isn't on it at all. Just like I don't think Bon Jovi belong on it (Metallica should have been in their place instead). But I'm not going make too big a deal over that list. It doesn't mean that much to me.

    Outsider

I'm taking a wild guess that Marilyn Manson didn't make the list because he is a little bit too extreme for the masses and the rumor of his satanic worshipping :-? . I would say that he is a character and has his own style however some feel that his looks, videos and antics are attention grabbers as well as offensive and unfavorable.

I knew that KISS would make the list which was no surprise - their costumes alone I think is the most recognizable and outstanding. I don't listen to their music but I know that they have huge and devoted followers. The only thing I like about KISS is Gene Simmons...its something about that man that I find attractive 8) :P !

I would pick Metallica over Bon Jovi anyday! Metallica seems like they get better with time. They look better since they cut off that wild hair, it looks cleaner and each of them have an individual look - even the new guy Robert looks good with the long four braids.
