disco version of "Theme From M.A.S.H. "

In the 70s the Aussie pop show "Countdown" had disco songs as background music from "The Hustle" to "Machine Gun". Anyhow on a 1978 episode the background disco music sounds like a discotized version of the "Theme From M.A.S.H." . I was wondering if any of you know who did a disco cover version for the M.A.S.H. theme?

"Theme from MASH" could of been by Rhythm Heritage. They also did the "THeme from SWAT." I know they released another album other than the one with "Theme from SWAT" on it..

    Funky Dude,

I have this 12" somewhere. Would you believe for the first time since reorganizing my records I now can only remember the label and not the artist! Of course, when they were filed by label I couldn't find anything.

Well, I know it's on PCM --- hopefully the brain will stir and I can shake it loose for you.

I've done a search on the google.com search engine and it looks like DISCODISK is spot on, New Marketts definitely recorded a disco version of "Theme From M*A*S*H". It looks to be on 12" too, here's a link to a record sales site having this record which is on the Satril label:

    Thanks for helping me.

    Cheers

For the record, The New Marketts recorded that 12" on the FARR label (FARR FR 0071) in 1976
