looking for a disco/music artist group, hope this belongs in this forum.

i am looking for i think 99% sure disco or funk group, it had both male and woman, and from the youtube vid i once saw it had a female main lead vocalist, but it could also be both man and women on vocals but i would say more just woman on vocals.

the particular song i remember them performing was in the early 80's i am 100% sure 1983 but they could have been going since the 70's i just dont know?

now here is the tricky bit when it comes to me asking you guys/gals on here what were this group called, i dont know which is why i'm asking here but i do know that either they had "gold" in the title of the song they performed either in 83 or the early 80's or the name of there group had the word "gold" in it.

i hope this helps, i know its not the easiest questions or requests but i figured somebody on here might just know, that is all the information i can give hope it helps.
