    Some nice finds needlefingers!

Remember going to the Limelight in NYC several times to see such groups as The Shamen, Moby, Morrissey and others. It was a great place for music.

Now poor Blowfly... wrote many classic soul and disco songs, but his x-rated parodies were shall we say, pretty bad in every way. I can handle bathroom humor, but within a minute one just has to turn his stuff off.

    Thanks for posting these.

For those who may not know, Peter Gatien also owned the Limelight discos in Hollywood, Florida (my hometown), which burned down in 1979, and Atlanta, Georgia. I have been in all three.

I lived in Chelsea from 1988 till 1996 and visited the Limelight hundreds of times. For a long time, it was The Tunnel on Friday, The Roxy on Saturday and The Limelight on Sunday. Limelight was great on Wednesday's too.

Then there was also Sound Factory, Palladium and Mars, which had 5 floors of dancing with classic disco on the top floor.

All of these clubs were within walking distance for me.

Also Club USA with a gigantic slide. Webster Hall is still around and I have been there a couple of dozen times.

Splash, a big gay club here, is building a hotel and club just a half block from me. Time to get out there again.

I forgot to mention Tuesday nights at The Monster, a great neighborhood bar and disco. Tuesday's were Classic Disco Night and Warren Gluck was the DJ.

They still have classic disco on Tuesday's, but I haven't been there in years.

Ohhh for those days of roaming the streets from 4 to 6 am.
