Phew! Where to begin?! Off the top of my head the Constellation Orchestra & Saturday Night Band seem to slip into this arena happily and just about anything from Canada!
I've been listening lately to Ripple's "The Beat Goes On" and noticed how it sounds like a Cerrone production; big smooth production, beautiful strings, four-on-the-floor beats, female vocals, girly background vocals, long instrumental passages, almost lightweight with no funky/r&b stylings at all...in essence, my definition of Eurodisco! Except it was recorded in the USA by Americans! Aside from Boris Midney, in my opinion, the best Euro came from Europe: Voyage, Costandinos, etc
So i'm looking for other successful attempts of Euro made in the USA and Canada. I've come up with these:
Ultimate- LP1 (the BEST example!)-touch me baby, ritmo de brasil, etc
Amant- if there's love, hazy shades of love
Tangerue/Secret Affair LPS- dance with me, etc
Destination- move on up, etc
Poussez-all cuts
The Ring- savage lover
Nightlife Unlimited- disco choo choo, love is in you
Harlow- take off
Elaine & Ellen- look of love
AKB- stand up, sit down
Fire and Ice- inferno, devil woman
Grand Tour- grand tour, flight from versailles
Baby O- in the forest
Ferrara- love attack, shake it, wuthering heights (a lost opportunity on this last title, imho)
Black Light Orchestra- morricone; touch me, take me
Paradise Express- dance; poinciana
Passion-all cuts (great MALE vocals!)
Wonderland Band- paradise island
Erotic Drum Band- love disco style
Carolyne Bernier- hold me, touch me.
France Joli- LP1- all cuts
El Coco- cocomotion
thanks!
we can fly...above the sky...
