"High On Love" - Claire

Anyone know anything about this record? When I first heard it, I didn't think I liked it, but now I seem to be playing it a lot. It features a weird melody, and her voice is kind of...breathy I guess. I'd say she'd be French or something. It has some nice breaks, some flourishes of strings, which I really like and some very cool synthesiser work.

Back in the day when you heard the original seven and then the remix, you automatically thought the original was useless compared to the new version. Now it's the other way around, like the 6 min album version of Chocolats: Kins Of Clubs sounds a killer whereas the Moulton mix comes across as too long and antiseptic. Claire is an exception. The Kevorkian remix turned the little French pop tune into a credible disco 12". Sadly, seems like it didn't do much business on Prelude in 1979. Another one that got lost during the rush?

Indeed. I haven't heard the original, just the Francois remix. I think I won't be too worried from what you've told me. The disco version is rather ama - ing and I have had it on high rotation...high on rotation...high on love...

I always thought that "High on love" Claire and "If you love me" Claire were the same woman.
It happens they are two different women!
