    Shirley Lites

Her "Heat You Up (Melt You Down)" has to be an all time club fave of mine HOWEVER I only have the "Meltdown mix" on a mixed CD I got with a copy of 'Revloution" magazine (which was my first intro to the track). Now, is there a CD out there with either this mix or the Vocal (which I also like)??? Or a vinyl re-issue? I certainly hope so....

I know the "Masters At Work presents West End Records: 25th Anniversary Master Mix" has her song on it. I don't own the CD so I can't tell you if it's the original or a remix.

If you're looking for a 12", check out GEMM:

    Good luck.

Great track, especially the middle section of the vocal mix. I always wondered who Shirley was. She has a hell of a voice on her and I thought it may have been someone more well known under another name?

For an update on what Shirley's doing these days, have a look at

If you're getting married in the near future in the Philadelphia area, give 'em a call and get Shirley to sing for you. Now, how many other West End artists can you book to give a personal performance at your wedding?

Intersting, how did you find that? It just shows you how many great singers there are in the US, who haven't had the breaks to become big stars.

Just a google search. Comes up on about the third page. About the only entry which isn't a songlist site - you can filter out the songlist sites by visible scanning of the results.

How is her name pronounced, by the way? I've always heard it and spoken it as "lights". Is that correct?
