Anyone knows if this band was Brazilian or Italian ??

I thought I was the only one who had this record! :icon_mrgreen:

I always thought of it as Brazilians disguised as Italians, like Disco Push said. This must be some of the cheesiest disco ever made, I mean Jussi-worthy kind of disco. And that cover! :icon_biggrin: Sadly I don't have a scanner to post it here, but it's too much!

About Mr. Sam, he was like a Brazilian Rosko (Push says he's from Argentina, but his talk sounds pretty portuguese to me). I have a Rosko-like disco compilation LP called "Mr. Sam" with his voice introducing some pretty good mixes of Kool & The Gang, Rita Lee, Sugarhill Gang and the classic "Feel good party time" between others. Very good for its kind.
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)

Reading this topic from the beginning I find a post by our friend Zeca mentioning Tim Maia. I found a PolyGram compilation of his work, with some disco but also a marvelous melody from 1970 called "Azul da cor do mar". It must be one of the most beautiful Brazilian songs I ever heard.

Hello again! Yes, Mr Sam use to speak Portuguese (with a foreigner accent but he does), well, this is not important, one things I recognize is his contribution to the brazilian disco movement and to the early 80s pop music in Brazil. About Tim Maia. There are one track I love and it is called "Eu e Você" and "Boogie Esperto", he sung with Sandra Sá, a tune called "Vale Tudo", a nice song...Cheers, Marcel Chapman

I didn't see this post until now :icon_rolleyes:

I entered this in the vault for fun a while back, but I think this is all ancient history of an obscure record no less , and nobody cares today.:icon_sad:

I bought this copy mainly for the cover, there was something "dirty" about this picture that caught our young eyes..:icon_biggrin:
