song ID / mid-80's track

Hi,

this is my first message :P

I found a part of a WBLS-Mixshow and need informations about a track in this mix.

I need the track which begin at 00:50, with female singer and male rapper.
Please, I need artists, title and maybe version/remix. :o

The song is a typical Kashif production. I am going to guess Melba Moore or Evelyn Champagne King. The rap does not belong in the song and must have been added by the DJ.

Good luck hunting it down. And if I am wrong... hey I tried :P

When I tried the link earlier, it didn't work...but I've just tries it again - and the track's 'This Time' by Funk Deluxe, on Salsoul from 1983/4. It's produced by Randy Muller.

You mean the rap bit? Or the whole track with the female singer? Because I could have sworn it is by Melba Moore...

The rap is part of the track. Yes, she does sound very much like Melba Moore. But that's the track in question, trust me. :D

N.B., it came out on Rams Horn (LP/12") as well.
