I guess the thrill of gigging is something that makes these guys wanna go out and live a crazy life for a few weeks or even a few months. He certainly shouldn't need the money, eh? He must be rolling in it with all the royalties from his songs.

I saw a biopic on KC on (I think) Biography when I was visiting Saipan (US territory) late last year. He is a said story... bad managers, poor contracts, booze... the typical story. And so... the royalties aren't there and he needs the concerts to make a living.
If I remember correctly, he was actually still living with his mum!!!
His partner Finch and he had a falling out. Finch (again, if I remember correctly) is doing local work writing/producing commercials. Finch was quite open to a reunion, but KC was not.
They started when still in high school as a writing/production duo for others and only later started recording themselves.
