I think they were loops but I may be wrong.....

1st, "ruler with the millimeter"..that's all I can remember

2nd, "I want you" has a saxaphone solo towards the end

'I Want You' may be by Hex Complex, or Ralphi Rosario. I used to play the former a lot, it's from around '87.

Maarten: I would have liked it a hell of a lot more if it hadn't been such a bugger to mix. I think it was becuase the main riff was spun in (out of time) from record or some other device (you can hear it speeding up at the beginning of the riff, yeh?). It used to make me think the record was going badly out of sync, when maybe it wasn't. Used to really screw my brain up, especially as most other early house tracks were fairly rock solid.
