It doesn't have as many rare extras as the Diana album (those Chic mixes were apparently turned down for the album and never released) but nice to have the the 12" mixes on one cd.

You mean one package, as it will be a 2-disc set :)
I wonder which version of MacArthur Park Suite they will use -- the original, as found on The Dance Collection (with a mastering flaw throughout most of the track), or the one where Heaven Knows is slightly remixed, as found on The Casablanca Story box set?
Soon we will know...
Would that be the same version as on original Bad girls being over 6mins ?Originally Written by PhyllisHyman
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
This reissue doesn't thrill me. I already have The Dance Collection and the 12" of "MacArthur's Park" where Heaven Knows has that little bit extra. Really wish they'd opted for some rarities instead of the same old stuff.
I agree with you Nicky. Very disappointing.
Hey Graham: if you're in Toronto, are Unidisc's CDs more readily available and cheaper there then they are here in the states? The stores in my area that have any Unidisc CDs at all usually have only a very small amount and they usually cost around $20 each. And their CDs online are not much more reasonable either. I usually wait until I see used copies but that gets frustrating.
Here in Montreal ; I often see them mostly in used record stores.
Yesterday I was at a major record store and since someone asked me to check if THE BOX had any CDs in store; I was surprised to see that UNIDISC is re-releasing their entire catalogue.A lot of Quebecois acts will see their old stuff released through them also.
They recently re-released all of PATSY GALLANT's albums on CDs and inserted a new track [Hit the streets tonight] and a new jacket for her Greatest Hits album.
So they are still active but even here ; they are not that easy to find.
Sometimes I will be looking at stuff and going "Huh I didn't know this was available on CD" and they are often Unidisc releases.

Sorry to veer off topic here,
Yeah, I'm surprised to at how little publicity they seem to put behind their releases.. You'd think they'd give some notice, like maybe keep their website updated and perhaps drum up a little extra interest and sales.. I remember when I first came across that slew of Salsoul reissues that they did in 2005, none of the major online retailers carried them. Slowly, they started to show up on more and more retailers.. It seems like it's only now that they're showing up at Amazon US, CD Universe etc..
Siuch a great release--I wish Once upon a Tiem would get similar treatment. I only wish it contained the original version of Mac Park Suite and they had fixed the Walk Away 12" (which I love) so that it's in proper stereo--accidentally they mastered it in mono :( But it doens't seme later pressings fixed this
:icon_cool:I gather that they're a very small operation. They probably have only a handful of people working there, if that.
Going slightly off-topic, I'm glad to learn that they're re-releasing The Box's albums. The Alert CDs have been OOP for years, and the LPs were cut *very* low.
