Probably KLEEER, or maybe SUN
Wow, I came across and old tape today titled DISCO MAY/JUNE '81. There's some great tracks on it like Revelation Feel It, Change Paradise, Strikers Body Music, but there's one track that I cannot remember that just about happens to be the best track on the tape.
It's really heavy funk about 118 BPM or thereabouts, lots of synth bits and semi dub synth solos, chugging double speed bass and fairly sparse chanted male vocals. It sounds like it could be oh, Brass Construction from that time, Skyy, Aurra, Strikers I really can't pin it down. Has that sorta Prelude almost D Train feel to it.
Here's the vocals:
We want to.........Groove you X 3?
We want to..Loosen Up.........Groove You X3?
I said hey, Everybody....Do You feel the funk, Everybody
I said Hey, hey, do you feel the funk etc etc,
I'll kick myself when all is revealed...anybody?
Probably KLEEER, or maybe SUN
Is it not brassy? May even be Shock.
What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?
Yup, that's the one ;-)
