Yes, I know this is yet another Donna Summer thread, but this may actually be of interest to some of you, especially her younger fans.
When Love To Love You Baby was released, I seem to remember that a certain Mr. Mike Oldfield was mightily unimpressed that she/her producers had plagiarized his opus Tubular Bells. For a short while there were rumours that he was going to take them to court and sue their asses. I just can't remember if he did indeed issue a writ and can't find any reference to it on the net. Surprising as the furore caused at the time was tangible.
The strange thing is that when The Champs Boys issued a disco version of Tubular Bells almost a year later, I don't remember hearing a dickie bird.
BTW: For historians here's my take on things. LTLYB was a massive massive hit and played a lot (partly under protest 'cos it wasn't the most danceable record ever made), but the Champs Boys was played even more and went down much better with my crowd. Of course, I Feel Love sealed Donna's popularity and the rest is history.

Now, if only Mike Oldfield had sued and won, think how different things might have been. 8)
