The song "When I See You", the first (April 2003) single from her latest album "The Trouble With Being Myself", is called "a full on disco classic" by the BBC, but I don't understand that. I just heard the song's original mix at Epic Records; it's not disco at all, it has a rhythm guitar, but otherwise isn't very disco-sounding, doesn't have a disco tempo, nor a steady beat. I'd call it funk-pop. It got to #11 on the Japan Top 20 chart and #34 on the Australia Top 40 chart and at least #27 on the British Pop Chart. Did you perhaps hear a different song from that album? Her album comes out later this month in the States so we can hear it then. Or were you thinking of "Sexual Revolution" from her 2001 album "The Id"? Now that's a real disco song.
