dance song from 1983-tonight??

this a a dance song i have on tape as part of a mix from the early 80's-now the male voice sounds like steve arrington but it may not be and after listening i dont think it is- but im not 100 percent either way and its definitely not Slave ft Steve arrington-i only have some lyrics to go by

hopefully it will ring a bell with someone

there is a sax solo during the break

then in the second half near the end there are female singers singing--Never ever gonna win cause im not telling you where i been tonight tonight-repeted a couple times
