    Everybody Dance! Compilations

    Discodoc,

I moved this over here so as not to disrupt your "Club Countdown" thread.

The liner notes actually list it as "Todd Terry Mix." Hope this helps! BTW, Atlantic had an interesting strategy on this. They actually had FOUR seperate releases under the same title "Everybody Dance." The first is a Maxi Single with 5 tracks, then there are 1, 2 and 3 CD sets. "Owner of A Lonely Heart" is only included on the 2 & 3 CD sets.
It was my understanding that the "Everybody Dance!" compilations put out by Atlantic/Rhino were sold either in original or remixed versions. You had your choice of CD's. I have the 2 CD set of "Everybody Dance! Remixed Dance Classics". Are you saying there was a 3-CD-set out there? If so, if I share the info on my discs 1 and 2, will you share with us disc 3?

Disc #3 is just a rehash of a few songs on discs 1 and 2 with nips, tucks and extentions.

Nicky, I have both the 2-disc and the 3-disc versions of "Everybody Dance!!!" The songs on volume 3 are repeats of the ones used on #1 & #2--but in different mixes, as I recall.

I can't find the listing for volume #3 on allmusic--so I'll check it tonight.
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."

    3) RESPECT - Aretha Franklin (8:35) / Jonathan Peters

I guess the only track that's new is #1....

My notes indicated I liked best...

Disc #1: the Aretha Franklin remixes "Respect" & "Rock Steady"

Disc#2: "Can You Move", "Twilight Zone" & "Hi-Jack"

Disc #3: didn't note anything!!!!

Thanks, Marky. Interesting nothing on Disc 3 caught your ear. I had thought "Runaway Love" on Disc 1 was about to take off when they hit the fade switch. I guess it didn't as I'm sure you would have remembered.
