This may be the Torrll version on AVI LP/12", though it's from 1979. The singer (Torril?) has a breathy 'quality', al la Tamiko Jones.
Help me out, please, friends: I'm having a major brain-freeze. Who covered Sylvester's "Over And Over" in early 1978 (female singer, very Judy Cheeks or Tamiko Jones-sounding)? Thanks in advance!

What would you do without your muesli...where would you be without a bowl?
Hi B:
Disco Circus did have a version of the song in 1978.
You guys do now that Over & Over is an Ashford & Simpson song, don't you? Early to mid seventies. I want to say 1975 there abouts but I am not 100% sure.
If Nicky sees this he can supply us with the right year. He is also an Ashford & Simpson fan from way before "Found a Cure"
The Pounding Drums, The Flashing Lights...
Thanks everyone for the quick response. I think Forrrce may be correct. The release would have been Spring '79 release if anything (I've got my timeline screwy, a sure sign of advancing age). This Torill version is my favorite version by far.
The Disco Circus "Over And Over" is a different song (and one of my favorite songs of any type).

Well aware of the song's origins, Art - though by the vocal described, I think you'd agree it's no Valerie Simpson...Originally Written by Art Figueroa

If you buy this record your life, will be better.
It's that the one that goes: ". . . its over, over, over, time and time again. You can be nobody's lover . . ." ???
It has female vocals. I've been looking for that one also. :o
I pulled out Torill to make sure and it is the one, same as Sylvester's.Originally Written by discodjii
