About some Village People's latter disco 12"s

Apparently some 1979-1980 songs are available in different extended mixes; they are not their best-known or even their best ones but I'm intrigued:

    - "Ready for the 80's" is available as a 6:53 remix or as a 6:38 version with or without a "Special Christmas Message". What is that? And three different mixes?

    - "Sleazy" is 8:55 long but on some European pressings it's 7:55 long.

    - "Can't stop the music" is 7:52 (with a 3:20 instrumental ending and a fading at the end) but there is also a 8:35 version (with vocals resuming at 7:30 and the song ending with a vocal cold end).

Do anyone have more infos about those mixes? Thanks in advance.

P.S.: when a good compilation with all the Village People's 12" mixes will be available instead of those countless compilations of radio edits and remixes? The 1994 "Best of" was a nice departure but it's not complete.

I agree, I would love an all 12'' cd of theirs. They are scattered here and there but would be more convenient to have them in one place. "In The Navy" is a lot more tolerable in its 12" version! Sorry though, I don't know the answers to your questions.

The only version of "Can't Stop The Music" I have is the 7:52 version appearing as the flip side of the UK pressing of "Magic Night" (which is the better tune in my opinion). The longer version of "Can't Stop The Music" you mention above certainly sounds intriguing !

Speaking of Latter-day V-P, I also have a German copy of 1982's "Play Bach" .....which to me, is just an awful record -- Not worthy of their particular talents.
