It's got to be the one she hasn't recorded yet. Is this a trick question?

"Autumn Changes". It's the forgotten one from "4 seasons of love". I can't understand why everybody oversees it. I love the bongos in it, and she still had this breathy voice.

edit: actually, those are not bongos at all ! :o I'm a sucker at music instruments. Let's just say it sounds tropical. Yukulele ?

It has to be "Lucky" from her bad girls album, most definitely.

"State Of Independence" produced by Quincy Jones.

"Carry On" by Giorgio Moroder featuring Donna Summer is a drop of love in the 90's.

I have to disagree with you on that one . . .

Moroder and Summer got a Grammy for that track under the "Best dance recording" category in 1997 for the 40th Grammy awards.

Personally I was surprised this track got an award, critics say the juges only knew the name Donna Summer amoung the finalists so they awarded her.

How about "Need A Man Blues" from her 1975 Love To Love You Baby album. Don't hear much talk about this funky disco track.

Doesn't seem surprising at all, if you ask me: Anything Donna sang HAD to be better than any other dance record released in 1997! Dance music pretty much started sucking in 1990, after all. :P :P :P

Even more intriguing is that the track was from 1992, but didn't become a huge hit until '97.

OK, Donna Summer's "Carry On" is not underrated, no problem guys... Something interesting is the sleeve of the Donna Summer's disco single Winter Melody/Spring Affair. There's just the Donna Summer's face on the sleeve and she is crying !!!

Nothing unusual here. The "Four Seasons of Love" album had a second inner sleeve with four shots of Donna used against a calendar to represent the seasons of the year.

Jan/Feb/Mar-Winter: Face shot wrapped in white fur with a tear in the left eye.

Apr/May/Jun-Spring: Donna on a swing in full southern-country regalia. All she needed was a mint julip :) .

Jul/Aug/Sep-Summer: Sexy Donna on the crescent moon.

Oct/Nov/Dec-Autumn: The famous Marilyn Monroe pose.

    underrated Donna hit

I think "Winter Melody" should have been a bigger hit. "I Love You" should have been much bigger. So should have "State Of Independence", and I liked "Cold Love" even better than "Hot Stuff". I don't expect everyone (or anyone) to agree with me on that. "This Time I Know It's For Real" should have been #1 pop and "Love's About To Change My Heart" should have been top 10 pop. "Dinner With Gershwin" was a grower. My favorite lyric phrase from any Donna album: have to go back to "Once Upon A Time" album. That's right, for "no matter which way mare." Just kidding, what else could it be but "I Love You" again.

Many Thanks for your clarification, NickNack, I pitifully neither have the Donna Summer's calendar nor the Silver Convention's annual posters.

I would have to say "Autumn Changes", "Wasted" and "Sunset People". "Bad Girls and Hot Stuff" received more than enough exposure meanwhile "SP" was left in the dust.

"Now I Need You" is a POWERFUL song but only known by her devoted fans. Most people that I've met are familiar with "I Love You" and "Rumor Has It". All three are on the same album yet "NINY" wasn't as popular :-? therefore it goes on the underrated list.
