1720 Sheepshead Bay Road, Brooklyn, New York Roller Place was in my opinion the best disco roller skating in Brooklyn. I remember going to Roller Place in 1979. There was a huge skating rink with hanging decorations and depending on the time of year they would suspend Easter bunnies for Easter and Christmas would be Santa Clause. The DJ booth would be recessed into the upper corner of the rink closest to the entrance of the rink. There was a stage near the lockers and skate rentals that would face the entire rink. That was my first time I saw Peaches and Herb perform "Shake your Groove Thing" and "Reunited." What a great time I...
