Benny Troy's "I Wanna Give You Tomorrow" is a fantastic disco tune but it's more underground than well-known. Benny Troy has another artistic name: Benny Mardones.

Marcio,
great track indeed!!!
I was listening to his album on DeLite last night at a friend's house; and when I heard that track after a long time I pumped up the volume and all my friends in the house began to dance.... (and someone called an ambulunace)!
I was just going through a mountain of old tracks and listened to this track... twice. I googled Benny Troy, and he has his own website and is still performing in the NJ area... Good one!

This is such a great song! Too bad the LP and 45 go for big bucks on Ebay. I managed to find a compilation that DeLite put out back in the day that featured the full length version of this track. I can't remember the name of the comp, but you can find it listed on Discogs (which is where I discovered it).
Disco Funk
Here it is... "I Wanna Give You Tomorrow" by Benny Troy--and it's the long version!!!
The long version is available on this cd compilation:

That sounds like an updated northern soul track; I bet DD loves it! What year was it?
...ya gotta beat the street......
Sandra is absolutely right re Northern Soul. And in fact, Benny is coming to a Northern Soul weekend in March of 2009 in Wales:

from: BILLY TERRELL
The "B" side of this 1975 45 release has the song's longer version ... or as the label identifies it : the "disco version".
Y@HU - when did it really start: your discomusiclife / story ?
Billy Terrell - It really started in the spring of 1975. I produced a second record with Benny Troy called "I Wanna Give You Tomorrow" which I specifically geared toward the hot disco beat of the day. It wasn't a huge pop success but it became an underground dance floor hit in many countries. The track today is on many dance compilations around the world.
This was during the same time that Billy Terrell fought hard for and won the opportunity to work with Frankie Avalon ..... with the specific intent of creating a disco remake of his classic VENUS :
You'll also see the name of Joe Renzetti on there as the song's conductor and arranger ....
He'll decide this disco thing could also be applied to another old song and its original artist ... a song he (Joe Renzetti) had first arranged back in the mid-sixties ... a #2 ranking Hot 100 tuned called SUNNY as performed by Bobby Hebb who had penned it.

Billy Terrell was also the producer for these guys
and he wrote and produced this track (which John Davis arranged)
Joe Renzetti arranged for Jerry Ross a number of mid 70s philly disco tunes by Jay And The Techniques including Number Onederful
Disco Funk
I luvs ya to death Disco Funk as well as this ultra "cool" song by The Tymes :icon_cool: :icon_cool: :icon_cool:......but I don't believe Billy Terrell had anything to do with it ......... (:icon_question:)
This song rather features someone else noteworthy: - arranger Richie Rome
