    Favorite slow jams

Have we done this before? Memory is a fragile thing!

Speaking of memory, here's some of my favorites:

    "Memories" The Temptations

    "Time for Love" Chi-Lites

    "Playin' Your Game" Barry White

"I Want You" "Come Live with Me" and "After the Dance" Marvin Gaye

    "Quiet Storm" Smokey Robinson

    "Sexy Mama" The Moments

"Don't Ask My Neighbor" The Emotions

    "Creepin'" Stevie Wonder

Just about anything by Basia and Sade

A couple sexy cuts from Isaac Hayes' "Chocolate Chip" that I can't think of right now.

Say, anyone ever hear of a song called "Star of A Story" by either George Benson or ? I saw it listed elsewhere as a fabulous cut, but I have never heard it. Anyone?

    Hey Lean,

"Star Of A Story" by George Benson is on his "Give Me The Night" LP produced by Quincy Jones. It was written by Rod Temperton from Heatwave. This is my favorite George Benson LP; every cut is excellent. You'd love it.

    Hey Nicky.

I think you're right. Billy Stewart's song makes more sense based on Outsider's picks.

Well, after re-reading the lists of brother Paul, MixMachine, Outsider and HustleBaby I decided to 'get involved'. These ain't off the top of my head. I went digging so it could get a little long. It felt so good reading everybody's titles I just wanted to do it again... and do it right.

I have to start out with two faves:

FAVE R&R is THE FLAMINGOES - I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU.

FAVE R&B is still ARETHA FRANKLIN - AIN'T NO WAY. Cissy Houston is "killing" that background. I never get enough of it.

    Now some others:

NEW BIRTH - IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME / UNTIL IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO

ROSE ROYCE - WISHING ON A STAR / LOVE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

STYLISTICS - IT'S TOO LATE / CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT

THE EMOTIONS - SO I CAN LOVE YOU

DEE DEE WARWICKE - I WANNA BE WITH YOU

    IMAGINATION - BODY TALK

DEE CLARK - NOBODY BUT YOU

RAY CHARLES - (NIGHT TIME IS) THE RIGHT TIME

GLADYS KNIGHT & THE PIPS - GIVING UP

THE SHIRELLES - BABY IT'S YOU

THEOLA KILGORE - THE LOVE OF MY MAN

    GARNETT MIMMS - CRY BABY

BRENDA HOLLOWAY - EVERY LITTLE BIT HURTS

THE MIRACLES - THE TRACKS OF MY TEARS

JIMMY RUFFIN - WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED

    LINDA JONES - HYPNOTIZED

THE DELLS - STAY IN MY CORNER

THE IMPRESSIONS - CHOICE OF COLORS

    THE ORIGINALS - THE BELLS

THE SPINNERS - THE WINTER OF OUR LOVE

THE PERSUADERS - THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE

THE CHI-LITES - THE COLDEST DAYS OF MY LIFE

BILLY STEWART - SITTING IN THE PARK

THE TEMPTATIONS - IT'S GROWING / YOU'LL LOSE A PRECIOUS LOVE / DON'T LOOK BACK / FADING AWAY / YOU'RE MY EVERYTHING / I COULD NEVER LOVE ANOTHER / PLEASE RETURN YOUR LOVE TO ME

FANTASTIC FOUR - I'VE GOT TO HAVE YOU

That's enough... Now I've got to refile all this mess. Who wants a bigger house!

Midnight and you - Barry White

    Rapture - Anita Baker

Speaking of Love Changes, I love the duet with Meli'sa Morgan and Kashif. Also, Reasons(the live version).

Another song just slighty more uptempo is "I Found Lovin" by the Fatback Band.
