90s Vocal House / Disco Track with "Universal Rhythm Coming To You" "Hear the Music"
Hi everyone! You guys look like my last hope. I've been carrying around this song for 15+ years on cassette, digital tape, cd, and finally mp3.
Heard it in the mid 90s, during the wee hours of Hot97 NYC dance mixes. It sounds like old school house / disco. Can't say whether it's male or female voice (could be a male in falsetto). It could have been an old song remixed to sound updated, or just a remake. It's IMHO one of the finest, most inspiring dance song. Please help me identify it! Much thanks in advance for giving it a listen.
Listen, to the beat of loving lovers
Try to understand and with it something
Music, is a way to understanding
Rhythm, is what keeps our children dancing
Universal Rhythm coming to you
(Universal Rhythm to you)
Universal Rhythm going through you
(Universal Rhythm to you)
Hear the Music
Throw (thru?) your body
Dancing, is a way to feel your spirit
Moving, anyway your body hears it
Music, is the key to something precious
Hearing cause it's so much pleasure
Universal Rhythm coming to you
(Universal Rhythm to you)
Universal Rhythm going through you
(Universal Rhythm to you)
Hear the Music

It's a remake of the classic '78 Damon Harris track 'Its Music' - don't know who is singing on the 90s version but the falsetto is quite similar to the original as indeed is the rest of the track but nothing could beat the original orchestrated sound. The track was evidently a fave with the early Paradise Garage crowd so it's no wonder that it was remade for the house generation. I believe Damon replaced Eddie Kendricks in the Temptations between '71 & '75.

Thank you thank you thank you! Got it!
The remake is Century Falls featuring Philip Ramirez.
Never had I had so much trouble since Werner Herzog's Gordella Ansambl zinkskaro and Individual's Sky High in ID-ing a song. Really brings sweet memories of following Danny Tenaglia from the old Tunnel to downtown Vinyl / Body & Soul.
