She does look amazing. (& I'm sure that Joan Rivers is trying to model herself on Amanda lately!) Really loving that red leather jacket; I'm going to dig mine out of the wardrobe & wear it - if it's good enough for Amanda it's good enough for me. (it's a genuine leather biker jacket but bright red!)
...ya gotta beat the street......
Love the woman, but come on, you can see why the "Trannie" story has endured all these years...
I always thought she was a 'trannie' too but her legs are so feminine - I've never seen a man with pins like those. I love the mystique surrounding her - you just don't get mystique with today's stars - thanks to OK magazine & the like, we know every little detail of celebs' lives.

I saw her on TV (1 or 2 year ago) on a 70's retrospective and here's what I remember she said :
It was a rumor launched in order to make speaking of her ,
she said she didn't regret it , because it's thanks to this rumour that people still remembered her (among the multitude of disco artists emerged in the 70's) , unlike to Madleen Kane that everyone had forgotten.

BTW, I really like this new track and I will post it as soon as it is released, in the meanwhile Miss Lear posted this great oldie: click to see it on YT:
I don't care 'what' she is (though of course, she is ALL woman, no doubt about that!). She IS a true legend, so elegant, so 'diva', so beautiful and as you say, so ... mysterious! Apparently, David Bowie dreamed up this rouse that 'she' was really a 'he' to garner publicity. It worked!
