    Here's a challenging one!!

European group from Holland I believe. The lead singer reminds me of Russell Tompkins from The Stylistics.

I can spend a lifetime waiting for you
Hoping that one day you'll give me the clue
    Title.............
Ready to stop but no more regrets
Even if you think that I'm not the best

    You are correct Bobbchap.

Now what is the name of the group and artist.

    Here's another clue:

Their career wasn't an endless road of hits.

My memory might be faulty, but wasn't it the Time Bandits who also had a hit with "Doctorin' the Tardis," that Dr. Who (inspired?) theme song that borrowed so heavily form Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part whatever"?

I think "Doctorin' the Tardis" was from... 1989? 1990?

    Hi Jeff,

You are thinking of The Jams / Timelords / KLF not the Time Bandits.

    Well quelle surprise!!!

    Jeff H. dropped by!!!!

I do believe you are right about "Doctorin' The Tardi's"--I have that record. Didn't make the connection!!! No wait wasn't that by The TimeLORDS??? Hmmmmm....

I'm looking for their 1982 hit song "Live It Up"--I don't think I've ever heard this....or just didn't know the title. It was #6 on the Billboard Club Play chart....but I haven't found a copy yet.

Oh yeah, Marky--you are correct, sir! Now that you mention it, it was the Time LORDS. See, I knew my memory couldn't be trusted...!

But I'm now reminded of another song that may have been by the Time... Bandits? "I'm Only Shooting Love" is the title I'm thinking of.

    Am I even close?!

    Jeff,

You are absolutely right, that track was one of the biggest hits for Time Bandits, as far as i remember it was also a modest hit in the U.S. disco's.
