Hi SandraDee
Does this help?

Sorry to be so 'pop' & uncool here (no hi-nrg section any more) but does anybody know if the original 12" version (not a remix) of 'I Can't Help It' has ever come out on a CD? This was always my fave track from the 'Wow' LP but it wasn't included on the '12"s of Bananarama' compilation CD.

It looks like it's available on CD single; many thanx for your help scientist! (Bananarama are one of my biggest guilty pleasures!)

they're one of my fave '80s groups, too, Sandy. They (and their videos) were an integral part of my college years. I was totally bummed when their "Love, Truth & Honesty" tanked over here in the U.S. (I thought it divine). Is it true that Karen's still married to Wham's Andrew Ridgely ???
well, Sandy ....re: Karen & Andrew .....as Kylie once sang "I Should Be So Lucky" !!! lol.
also, another fave of mine is their catchy dance-pop "Love In The First Degree". (It's very similar in "story" to the group Alabama's 1982 country hit of the same title, though they're different tunes). Not sure if the Alabama tune was big in the UK ??? Check it out here on youtube if you're not overly familiar .....

"Cruel Summer" one of my favorites. Whoever that was playing percussion in that break, that person should be in the hall of fame! Anybody know the players?
I think "Bananarama Query" would be a great name for a tropical drink!
Cool or un-cool, these ladies' releases always give me that warm comfort that disco/dance music is something that stirs in certain people's souls and they're still making music for dancing feet. My favourite song of theirs is "Movin' On"...the gorgeous ABBA-esque original and the housier Bumpin' Mix...can't decide which one I like better.
Dancin' helps relieve the pain, soothes your mind, makes you happy again
I love the Bananarama girls.
My fave will always be the 1982 John Luongo extended mix of "Shy Boy (Don't It Make You Feel Good")---percussion overdrive delight!
This is the longest version I can find on the Tube...Discogs says it was 7:23 on the U.S. promo

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I'm so pleased you guys like Bananarama too - I'm going to come out of the closet & be an open Bananarama fan. I hated it when more modern girl groups like Spice Girls & Girls Aloud got compared to them -IMO those young talent-free trollops aren't fit to kiss Bananarama's Doc Martens!
