    Hi,

I'm listening to lots of different stuff these days. Here's some of the tracks/albums I'm listening:

EDDIE PALMIERI - BOMBA DE CORAZÓN (classic salsa - the bomb!)
BLONDIE - GREATEST HITS - a 20 track compilation released in 2002, with a great sound. CALL ME! RAPTURE! THE TIDE IS HIGH! HEART OF GLASS!!!
THE WHITE STRIPES - ELEPHANT - forget the media hype, this album is really COOL! I love it! My favorite track is the blues BALL & BISCUIT
FAT LARRY'S BAND - FASCINATION - an almost forgotten, very curious cover version of the DAVID BOWIE disco song
ELLA FITZGERALD & LOUIS ARMSTRONG - CHEEK TO CHEEK. Let's sing! Heaven, I'm in heaven...
    :D
    Peace,

Let It Be Whatever It Is by Frankie Valli

    * LET IT BE WHATEVER IT IS by Frankie Valli (1980) - just heard this for the first time today; it's from the same LP as his excellent SOUL and HEAVEN ABOVE ME. Has the same cool sound, with some saxophone moments and violin backing. I just bought his "Greatest Hits" album a few days ago. Evidently Valli patronized Studio 54.
    * LET'S FUNK TONIGHT by Blue Feather (1981) - this Dutch release maintains its interest throughout the extended play, with some funky and jazzy elements in the middle section.
    * YOU GOT THE FLOOR by Arthur Adams (1981).
    * PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM by MFSB (1975). It's great when the female vocalists declare "Philadelphia, I love you". Competent cover of the Elton John hit.
    * Everything by Barry White.

For something very unusual, digital clapping hands style, ahead of its time in 1981:

    Shock - Angel Face

also "R.E.R.B." featured on side B is recommended ;-)
If you buy this record your life, will be better.

    my favorite songs right now

These are songs that keep popping up in my mixes this summer:

    Evelyn "Champagne" King - Shame
Pluton and the Humanoids - "World Invaders" (rereleased on Environ - thanks Environ!!!!!!!!)
Man Parrish - Heatstroke (featured in a gay porn with the same name...)
Earth Wind & Fire - Let's Groove (always a good summer classic)
One Two Three - Midnite Fantasy (a great Bobby O production)
I-f & Fred Ventura - Cut My Heart Out (Viewlexx - fans of newer italo-styled dance music like Parallax Corp should check out this new collaboration with Fred Ventura - GREAT!)
Squash Gang - I Want An Illusion (I can't find this 12" anywhere :( Anyone got a copy to sell?...)
Aqua Bassino - Baby C'mon - Ron Trent remix
Dinosaur - Kiss Me Again (original extended 12" version)
Amanda Lear - Queen of Chinatown (maybe she is a tranny - her voice is sounding pretty deep in this song)
Divine - Native Love '84 remix (slammin' remix)
Fonda Rae - Touch me (all night long) - whatever happened to Cathy Dennis? Just kidding...

    I'm not. :)

She's still around, but as a songwriter and not performer. She wrote much of S Club 7's material, as well as co-writing Kylie's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head".

Wow! That's cool that she co-wrote "Can't Get You Outta My Head". I guess that was an undeserved jab at Cathy Dennis - she had the good taste to cover the Fonda Rae song! Thanks for the info...:)
