As far as I know, AABB was a one off single in response to the Average White Bands Pick up the pieces tune. It sounds like the JBs with added strings.
Did they ever have a complete album? Maaaaan JB with a full string section behind him! The stuff of wetdreams! nice use of the harp.

It was the JB's. James Brown made a big thing of it back in the day and was not too polite about the Average White Band.
I knew it was the JBs but I was wondering if there was more where this came from. It seems like this was one of those JB records that inspired Prince. This sounds like one of those things that Ron Hardy would mouthwater over.

Sounds like you've got quite the collection. You should try ebay if you decide to sell some of the more collectable titles. By the way, the AABB is really the JBs. James Brown was angry about AWB's Pick Up The Pieces, which he felt was a rip-off of the JBs Hot Pants Road. So he took the original recording, re-recorded the drums and added strings and new horns, creating Pick Up The Pieces One By One.
